    Introduction & Overview

     This tour programme is specially designed for the wildlife enthusiasts, especially the tiger lovers. Interspersed with visits to the cities of most popular Indian tourist circuit, the Golden Triangle, the tour programme lets the traveler get introduced to the wilderness and the natural habitat of the majestic King of the Jungle.

     

    The tour starts at the national capital of India, New Delhi, followed by a visit to Jaipur, lovingly called as the Pink City, It also offers offering the opportunity to view Taj Mahal in its magnificent splendor. The heart of the tour though remains in experiencing the excellent opportunities of sighting the Indian Tiger at Ranthambhore & the variety of great avian species at Bharatpur in their natural environments.

    Special Guidelines to Book Game drives / Safaris
    As per the latest guidelines issued by India wildlife authorities some changes have been made to book any game drive in the park. To reduce the pressure from the park, forest department have reduced the number of jeeps for these game drives, therefore, these drives needs to be booked & paid well in advance. These game drives once booked & paid are non refundable. In order to book these game drives names of all the clients are required along with their latest Passport details. No name change is permitted at later stage once its booked. The park official checks each client’s passport at the park gate while getting in for safari. If you apply for a new passport after booking your game drives, please carry your old passport as well.

     

    Due to these changes in our booking system we strongly suggest you to book these Tiger trips at least 3 – 4 months in advance. We book tickets for all passengers as soon as permits become available, usually 3 months prior to the date of actual game drive.

    Day – 01 – Welcome to India, the Land of Tigers & Taj! 

    On arrival at International airport, you will be well received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Post check-in, the day is kept free to offer rest to recover from the jetlag.

     

    In the evening enjoy the dinner, served at the hotel and later retire to your room for an overnight stay at the hotel. (D)

     

    Day – 02 – Drive to Jaipur – 5 hours drive 

    Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel before we drive southeast to the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

     

    Popularly known as the Pink City, Jaipur is just not only a shopper’s paradise but it also prides itself offering its rich heritage of royal hospitality.  It is the most affable tourist city of North India, replete with magnificent forts and people.

     

    After an approximately 5 hours drive we arrive at our well appointed hotel in Jaipur. We would stay at this comfortable hotel for next two nights.

     

    In the evening we have dinner at a restaurant before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B, L, D)
    Day – 03 – Jaipur Fullday Sight Seeing 

    After breakfast we proceed for a morning excursion to Amber Fort, one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture. Situated on a hill and over-looking the Maota Lake the fort a UNESCO World Heritage Site is adorned with imposing ramparts and terraces. Make your ascent to the Palace fortress on the caparisoned elephant back. We visit the chambers and hallways of the Palace, famous for their classic design, concept and execution.

     

    Post lunch we take a tour of the historic old Walled City of Jaipur. This includes visits to the World Heritage monument, the Jantar Mantar Observatory, built in 1728.

     

    Later we take a tour of the adjoining City Palace & Museum, which offers a rare combination of the finest blends of Rajasthani & Mughal architectures. A dedicated collection of Royal costumes, armory, guns, old paintings, dresses, articles of use at the Royal households are meticulously displayed. The day’s tour would be incomplete without a visit to the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds. It is an unmistakable landmark of Jaipur, which conjures up several romantic images in the minds of the travelers.
    In the evening we have dinner at a restaurant before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B, L, D)

     

    Day – 04 – Drive to Ranthambhore –4 hour’s drive 

    After breakfast we drive to Ranthambore. Upon arrival we check into a hotel located near to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve.

     

    This National Park houses wild animals that mainly include boars, leopards and tigers. The other places of tourist attraction in the Ranthambore area are the Jogi Mahal and the Ranthambore Fort.

     

    We visit these in the evening before we retire to our Wild Life Resort / Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. (B, L, D)

     

    Day – 05 – Ranthambhore National Park – Morning & Evening Game Drives 

    The Ranthambore National Park is by far the most popular destination for adventurous and nature loving travelers.  Ranthambhore National park is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see these majestic predators in the wild. The tigers can be easily spotted even during the day. A good time to visit is between November and May when the nature of the dry deciduous forests makes sightings common. The Park covers an area of nearly 400 sq. km. and is set between the Aravali and Vindhya ranges. Its deciduous forests were once a part of the magnificent jungles of Central India.
    We will visit the Ranthambore National park early in the morning and in the evening for game viewing at the park which is famous for its magnificent tiger population

     

    The two drives are spaced with 3 -4 hrs of time in between to offer the best viewing experiences. These drives are conducted in open top 4 X 4 Jeeps and thoroughly assisted by the insights and services of an empanelled National Park naturalist / jungle guide. These forest guides are equipped with fabulous age old local wisdom with their villages located in the close vicinity of the Park.

     

    Enjoy the evening in the jungle resort / hotel with dinner and an overnight stay. (B, L, D)

    Day – 06 – Ranthambhore National Park – Morning & Evening Game Drives

    An incredible variety of wild life abounds this Park – The magnificent Tiger often gives audience to your astonished eyes.

    This park has large number of Sambhar, Chital Nilgai, Chinkara, Langur, Wild Boar and Peafowl and if you are lucky you will be able to spot a Tiger! You will be surprised that every time you go to Jungle, there is something new to be discovered, the local fauna of the Park includes leopard, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, sloth bear and a little population of pythons. This park has a lot of ancient trees such as the pipal and banyan trees.

     

    We visit the National Park again in the morning and evening for our slated last 2 Jungle Safaris. (B, L, D)

     

    Day – 07 – 4 Hrs Drive to Bharatpur, Keoladeo National Park 

    After breakfast, we will drive down to the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary also known as the Keoladeo Ghana National Park and enjoy watching birds some of them being the rarest species of birds found in the sub-continent.

     

    Once the royal hunting ground of the princes of Bharatpur, the Keoladeo National Park, now is one of the finest habitats of birds in the world. Bubbling with over 400 species of resident water birds, the park is furthermore populated by the annual influx of birds from colder countries (during winter season). Exotic migratory birds from Afghanistan, Central Asia, Tibet as well as Siberia, the Arctics and China, come here in the months of October/ November to spend the winters.

     

    Our tour of the National Park is on a rickshaw, offering the ease of maneuverability on the narrow strip of jungle track apart from the advantage of silent movement in the wilderness. This would be any bird-watching enthusiast’s first choice.

     

    We return to our hotel in Bharatpur for Dinner and an overnight Stay. (B, L, D)

     

    Day – 08Drive to Agra, 2 Hrs drive

    Early in the morning we hit out to Jungle for our morning meeting with the winged friends. The Bharatpur National Park is the shelter for many exotic species of birds that flock here every year.

     

    After a visit to the bird sanctuary in the morning we will leave for Agra – the city which is situated on the sacred river banks of the Yamuna.

     

    After a couple of hour of journey we reach our hotel in Agra. After checking into a hotel we have the remaining day at leisure. (B, L, D)

     

    Day – 09 – Taj Mahal & travel to Delhi 

    Early in the morning we take a guided tour of incomparable monument of love Taj Mahal. This white marble memorial was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. Soon after, we have a quick breakfast at the hotel and checkout for our onward journey to Delhi.

     

    Arriving at the hotel in Delhi, we settle down and unwind on this final night of our fantastic 9 Night Tiger with Taj Tour. (B, L, D)

     

    Day – 10 –Fly Back Home

    With a leisurely breakfast we check out of the hotel to be transferred straight to New Delhi International airport to board the flight back to your country.
